Are you a web-design company or business having a blog? Do you want to make money from it without affecting your business or sales?
If you are using AdSense or planning to use one, I recommend not to use it. One of the major problem with AdSense on a business website is, it may show an ad from your competitors, and you would lose out a valuable lead for few cents. .
The right method is:
What kind of ad you can show which helps you to make money from business blog & doesn’t affect your business. I’m sharing tips that are followed by many popular business blogs & something that I share with my consultancy clients.
How to Make Money from Your Business blog & Not lose a lead?
So AdSense is out of the equation & so it any other contextual ad networks like Chitika orInfolinks.
The ideas that I have shared below will help you to build relations, connect with authority in your industry as a result of which you will be making money.
White label or Private label reseller:

Suppose you have a web-hosting company. Your customer who is buying hosting from you might require services to design & create their website, social media & digital marketing company to market & promote their website & SEO company for SEO related services. In short, anything that will help them to build & grow their website. You can partner with other good guys in your industry who offers such services & become their white label reseller. This way the said company will get more clients, and you will be selling more services under your brand name & making money.
Fact: All big multi-national companies have been using this technique to become a global company over. Don’t you know that world-class companies like IBM/Accenture/Convergys sub-lease their projects to other firms?
To get started with this, you need to talk to the marketing or Business development guys of companies you want to become a white label reseller. If you are a well-established name in the industry, I suggest talking to the CEO or founder directly.
How to let the customer know about these add-on services?
For your clients, it should be an add-on service. It’s your responsibility to work with right companies, as for an end user it’s your business who is offering these services as add-on service.
To start with, you can have the page set up on your website providing such services, and all leads via contact form can go to a collaborated email address. Alternatively, since all leads are being generated on your platform, it’s safe to keep them under your banner. You can create an email address like service@domain.com, work@domain.com & share the login details with the collaborated company. For the first timer, it would take few months to build the perfect workflow but once the trust is built with the company, you guys can have a better arrangement to speed up & automate the process. Most of the progressive companies won’t deny your offer, as they are gettings qualified leads & it’s a win-win situation for both of you. Do remember, your goal here is work together to grow at the same time.
At times, traditional companies won’t like to get into such deals until they get sure if your blog can deliver enough sales. This is where your social & negotiation skills come into the play. I have done this in the past & have been doing it even now. It is working out pretty good for me.
Affiliate marketing:
White label reseller part might not fit into some of the business types. For example, one of my friends is a life-coach & a fashion blogger. The above scenario might not fit so well with her existing business model. If this is your kind of situation, you can monetize your blog using Affiliate marketing. This is more or less the same as above, but you are in complete control of the ads & it’s automated. Instead of offering services, you direct user to another brand (Online), and on successful conversion you earn money.
For example,
If you are a web design company who offers website design services, you can joinWebhosting affiliate program & earn anything between $50-200 per successful conversion. That too by recommending something that you would have recommended as it is & your client needed it. One important thing that you want to keep in mind is: Your recommended company should not be offering any of the services that you offer or doing upselling at the later stage.
For your business blog, you can create a resource pages like this, and recommend some of the best affiliate products that are relevant to your customers. The best way to pick the right kind of product here is: What next product or service your customer/client need after your service?
Have an advertisement page:
No blogger can deny the importance of an Advertisement page. In the marketing industry,it’s called a Media-kit. Having an advertisement page opens the door for possible advertisers who see a value in advertising their product or service. Eventually, it’s your call to entertain or not to entertain any possible advertisement offer. A direct advertisement can do wonder for your overall income.
This wouldn’t have been possible without the advertisement page which I have here. It helps an advertiser to know the potential of advertising on my blog, and other necessary details to make a decision. If you don’t have an advertise here page on your blog, I suggest you to make one right now.
There are many more ideas which you can use to monetize your business or company blog. The only thing which you need to keep in mind is
